A new system

[ares] Linux 2.6.32-jen93-default sparc64 | 24x UltraSparc T1 (Niagara) | Load: 0.03 Tasks: 431 | MemUse: 1842/7922MB | DiskUse: 92/1833GB (output from hxtools's sysinfo tool) has a nice ring to it, in the midst of an x86-deluded world.

It is always interesting to see what's in it. (May aid other's Internet searches.)

The CPU draws 72 W in idle, the eight RAM banks another 16.5. With a powermeter I measured 94 W on the wall socket. Under load, the CPU goes up by ~20 W and the RAM banks 1-2 W.
